While the group did not have much success in the United States however, they became extremely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford was a long-running and prosperous career as a heavy-metal singer after her band's split in 1979. Ford began to take vocal lessons. Her first solo release was called 'Dancing on the Edge'. Her albums weren't very popular, and she stayed away for a couple of years. Her smashing album, 'Lita" which came out in 1988 brought her back with an explosion. Kiss Me Deadly and Close My Eyes Forever which both of which were huge hits were two instances. Unfortunately, the success that she had achieved was short as for a number of years she was absent from the world of entertainment. The album "Black" album was released in 1995, and she followed it with her "Wicked Wonderland" released almost fifteen years later.
