Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actress who is active on television, film, and theater. Thespian Jeanne-Marie Tripplehorn has been working professionally for over 27 years. Her first appearance on stage in the off Broadway production called The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley, in the year 1990. The following year, she was cast in her first TV role in The Perfect Tribute. The year was 1992 and she was cast as an actor supporting the character Basic Instinct. It was the beginning of her successful career. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was chosen as the leading female character for the very first time, and this was also against actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Over the course of the 1990s, Gwyneth was a co-star together with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Most recently, she played the role of the character of Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.
